News / Updates

Sadly, Harmony Equitation Ltd will be closing at the end of November 2025. This means we are no longer offering livery.
Thank you for all the loyal support you have given us over the years.

Sale of Harmony Equitation

Dear friends and clients of Harmony Equitation,

This is one of the hardest messages we’ve ever had to write.

After much reflection, we have decided to sell Pound Farm and move on from running Harmony Equitation.

This decision has been shaped by some very big changes in our lives. In July, we welcomed our beautiful son Sebastian (“Sebby”) into the world. He is our miracle twice over — first because we didn’t think we’d be able to have children, and second because his life was saved by an emergency C-section at birth. He has changed our world completely, and we want to give him the time and love he deserves.

Rose and David are also taking this moment to step back and finally enjoy the retirement they so richly deserve. After decades of hard work, they are looking forward to a new chapter in warmer climes, with more time for rest, family, and the things they love.

For Jennie, this change also comes at a necessary point in her own journey. Following her back and pelvic injury in 2020, and now her emergency Caesarean with Sebby, she is no longer physically able to continue hoof trimming. It is also unlikely that she will be returning to teaching clinics or lessons in the foreseeable future, as her health and family commitments must now come first.

With all these changes happening together, it feels like the right time to pass on the reins. We are therefore placing Pound Farm on the market, with the hope that it can be sold as a going concern. Our greatest wish is that someone will continue Jennie’s vision and nurture the special barefoot community we are so proud to be part of.

Together, over the last 9 years, we have transformed Pound Farm from a traditional DIY livery yard into a true pony paradise. This has been possible only through an enormous amount of heart, hard work, and skill – not just from us, but also from the incredible support of our staff and clients. We are deeply grateful for all the trust, loyalty, and friendship that has carried us this far. It is our hope that the team here will remain in place and help make the transition as smooth as possible.

We know this news may come as a shock, but we truly hope you will understand why it feels the right time. Please know we will do all we can to keep you informed and supported throughout the transition.

This has been an immense and extraordinary journey, and we are so proud of what has been achieved here with your help. Now, we look forward to giving Sebby the love and attention he deserves in these precious early years. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being part of our story.

With love and gratitude,

Jennie, Nick, Rose and Sarah B.

What Happens Next?

Will the farm close?

No. Our intention is to sell Pound Farm as a going concern, so that it can continue as a livery yard. We are hopeful that someone will carry on Jennie’s vision and keep the barefoot community thriving.

For now, Arena Hires and Facilities Hire will continue to be available.

What will happen to the staff?

We are blessed with an incredible team, and it is our hope that they will stay on to support the transition. Their experience and dedication are a huge part of what makes Pound Farm special.

Will Jennie still be involved?

No, Jennie has stepped back from the day-to-day running of the farm to focus on motherhood and family life. With Sebby’s arrival, her priorities have naturally shifted, and she wants to give him the time and love he deserves. While this means she won’t be teaching clinics or lessons for the foreseeable future, she will always remain connected to the barefoot community and deeply grateful for your support.

How long will this take?

Sales of this kind can take time, so nothing will happen overnight. We will communicate openly with you throughout the process.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email ROSE directly.
