About the event

Demelza’s Dressage Clinic….With Yoga!

About Demelza…

Demelza, having grown up with animals all her life has likely spent more time observing horse behaviour at an early age

compared to interacting with humans! She has an innate intuition for what the horse needs when they meet at a coaching

session. This combined with Demelza’s formal teaching and training qualifications gained with the Prestigious Cadre Noir in

Saumur France, make for a very helpful learning and coaching experience.

Demelza, having over 20years coaching and training experience, with both rehabilitation cases and competitive combinations,

has added to her skillset in order to help riders learn the tools needed to help their own horses on a path to betterment.

Training as a Yoga teacher 5 years ago and now midst way through a Psychotherapy Diploma, Demelza has the eye and sixth

sense to see what is needed for each combination, and how to articulate that information across to each individual owner/rider.

As with so much in life, timing is everything, especially when related to learning. All the more, when working with a prey animal

such as the horse.

How and when we use our bodies is vitally important when coaching the horse towards a goal, no matter how big or small.

Demelza teaches in a way that incorporates all her learnings of Classical Training (Dressage, Show Jumping & Eventing), Yoga and now a subtle form of emotional management, in order to enable and enhance the horse-human relationship.

Demelza has trained her own homebreds to GP movements using a time honoured and respectful manner, having competed up

to Inter I, before now deciding to leave competition and focus more on teaching others. Having trained a myriad of different

breeds whilst in England, France and Germany, as well as horses with often very upsetting physical and behaviour rehabilitation

stories, you can pull from her experience to assist you in whichever sphere you are working in.

The clinic…
